Research interests
Predator-prey and competitive interactions,
population dynamics, invasive species, natural history and conservation of
terrestrial vertebrates (particularly mammals).
Current projects
- The impact of puma predation on sympatric
populations of South American wild camelids (Lama guanicoe and
Vicugna vicugna) in northwestern Argentina.
- Flight behavior of South American camelids
in the Laguna Brava-San Guillermo landscape (San Juan and La Rioja
provinces, Argentina) and other reserves of northwestern and central
Argentina.
- Trophic interactions among native
carnivores in northwestern Argentina.
- Reproductive ecology of the exotic
European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in northwestern Patagonia
(with M.Sc. Never Bonino, Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuaria,
Argentina).
- Modeling habitat selection of landscape
species at the San Guillermo-Laguna Brava landscape (with M.Sc. Sebastian Di
Martino, Direccion de Areas Naturales Protegidas, Neuquen province, and Dr.
Andres Novaro, Dr. Susan Walker, Dr. Karl Didier and Lic. Alvaro Wurstten,
