Research interests

Predator-prey and competitive interactions, population dynamics, invasive species, natural history and conservation of terrestrial vertebrates (particularly mammals).

Current projects

• The impact of puma predation on sympatric populations of South American wild camelids (Lama guanicoe and Vicugna vicugna) in northwestern Argentina.
• Flight behavior of South American camelids in the Laguna Brava-San Guillermo landscape (San Juan and La Rioja provinces, Argentina) and other reserves of northwestern and central Argentina.
• Trophic interactions among native carnivores in northwestern Argentina.
• Reproductive ecology of the exotic European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in northwestern Patagonia (with M.Sc. Never Bonino, Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuaria, Argentina).
• Modeling habitat selection of landscape species at the San Guillermo-Laguna Brava landscape (with M.Sc. Sebastian Di Martino, Direccion de Areas Naturales Protegidas, Neuquen province, and Dr. Andres Novaro, Dr. Susan Walker, Dr. Karl Didier and Lic. Alvaro Wurstten, Wildlife Conservation Society).
